i got off work late and was pissed off and some guy in the parking lot had challenged me in a p-o-s s10
so im like whatever lets do it, but with the mood i was in i didnt think twice about popping the hood like i usually do to make sure everything is good to go. A week later i hear a rod bearing spining really fast inside my engine so im rushing to figure out what happened. I pulled the oil stick only to find i had ran that guy with no oil, which i had lost oil faster because i was leaking from the oil pan very progressively. Well anyways its to late for the poor old 7afe, all because of a stupid move on my part. I just bought a 94eclipse gst with a jdm swap and now its messing up on me(dont buy a DSM unless you are willing to fix it alot). the point is even though my celica wasnt fast it was dependable and i want it back, does anyone know where i could get a cheap 7afe or maby if someone knows some cheap options for swaping a different motor into my 1994 st. -wess- -------------------- [SIZE=7][COLOR=blue][SIZE=1]-WES-

I did the same thing this time last year, (not racing a S10 - but doing donuts in the snow w/o oil).
If it makes you feel any better I got a 7A with 19,xxx on it in a junkyard for $500 - install was $600. Runs like new again, just make sure you keep checking your oil levels. http://car-part.com/ You can search in your area's junkyards there. Good Luck, Todd BTW: If you want more power... go with a 3S - I was too broke at the time to do that swap. This post has been edited by MK153: Dec 9, 2005 - 10:18 AM -------------------- |
