Is my car the only one that marks quarter tank when on empty??
My car has died several times when on the quarter tank mark, and wanted to know if its normal for our celicas, or if its something wrong with mine. |

Celica has a 15 gallon tank, the light comes on when there's three miles left, the GT gets about 23-25mpg, and the ST gets 27-31mpg. Fill the tank all the way and mark your milage. My dad doesn't have fuel gauges on either of his trucks and that's how he measures it. That should also be enough info to test to see if it's the pump or the gauge. If it runs out and takes 15 gallon, it's the gauge. If it takes less, like 10-12, then you have a delivery problem.
