hey, i was looking to get rid of my stock antena and doing the s2000 antena swap, however, i found a setup that requires no adhesive whatsoever.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=7966867546 thats the antena i bought, I removed the stock antena by unthreading the crome thread, pulled all of it out except the main antena mast, i also unplugged the power to the stock antena motor as its no longer needed. Anyways, this antena fits through the chrome thread perfectly and the flared end on the antena makes a nice fit so that adhesive to a piece of the stock antena isnt necessary, (like in the how to document). However, You'll need to put something on the thread of the antena as its too skinny to touch the inside of the stock antenas tube, I used a nut that just happened to be the right size. I just put a little silicone between the car and that black nub, and between the chrome thread and the nub, just to make sure theres a good seal. Heres some picks, reception is decent, and the antena doesnt budge. Sorry about the picture quality, All i have as far asdigital cameras is my motorolla Razr.
