Did some searching and couldn't find the answer to my question, so...
I am looking at this wheel and tire package for my 94 gt.. http://www.rim1.com/Items/17%20mr7%20GUNME...17%20toyo%20fz4? Would the 17's with the 205-40-17 tires work fit on my car? Once again, stock suspension... no lowering.. nothin. Also.. if they do fit, would I ever be able to lower my car with them, and how much? Sorry if my questions seem stupid Thanks for any input! |

QUOTE(Tech9ine @ Dec 25, 2005 - 11:11 PM) i would go 45 if your not going to lower it. Thicker sidewalls (higher numbers) will protect the rims from damage due to road imperfections better and will generally give a softer ride than thinner ones. The thinner sidewalls generally look better (subjective) and have less sidewall flex in cornering which improves handling. I would say the most popular tire size in this community on 17's is 215/45/17. P.S. Rim width is also important in deciding. The 215/45/17's should run on a 7 or 7.5" wide rim. -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |
