There was another post like this one, but not really.
My car was doing just fine when I was driving, then all of a sudden at the light, my rpms dropped, and the car turned off. I turned it back on, and kinda stepped on it so that the rpms wouldnt drop, but then it started jerking, every couple of seconds, then it was ok until I got home and was parking then the rpms dropped again, and now my car doesnt want to start at all. Could it be my fuel filter or something? This post has been edited by celicaGT96: Dec 26, 2005 - 4:53 PM |

I have found it to be easier to start the bottom line b4 bolting down the filter, lets them line up easier. you may also want to check to see if the threads on the new one and/or the line are OK, could have a problem there,,,
EDIT: Also the bottom fitting is a flare fitting, the nut shouldn't bottom out, as long as it went in more than 3-4 turns it should be holding the flared end of the line against the rounded seat in the new filter, once tight, the filter shouldn't move or be loose in relation to the line itself .
