It's been a long while since I've been on this site, but I browsing thru the other day and have noticed a lot of guys with swaps and boosted 5s. It's pretty cool to see the 6gc community continuing to excel. But what I'd like to see is some of you 3S or 5ST guys post up your dyno numbers and quarter mile times. I wanna see if anyone here can take my 7

Art's running a stock CT26, Jay has a big-ass turbo on his car now though and has dynoed it...I think.

BTW, my turbo is considered small. It will hit 200 ft/lbs of torque at 2800rpms but still will make 300whp+ I think I will be at about 280whp at 16-17psi in a basically BPU application. If you want to know who is making big power, take a look at Tufy's new set-up, Nik's, and Mr. E's. Those are some crazy awsome set-ups but everything is a trade-off. You can't have huge power without considerable lag. Also, with power over 300hp on a 4cyl import, price and unreliability increase exponentially. Once you are over 225 ft/lbs of torque, traction WILL be an issue in a FWD car anyway. One thing I have learned through the experience of this build is that you should ask yourself "How am I going to use this power?" The answer might be spirited street driving, autocross, drag strip, etc. The answer to that question will greatly help you make good decisions in the build process. -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |

What kinda turbo did you update to? I'd def like to run you. I was hoping there'd be a 3S swapped celi near my area, but this even better. I may have to come to one of the near by meets if your planning to attend. -------------------- NASA/SCCA RX-7....currently under the knife
