I recently learned that a nieghbor has been using my dsl to acess the web.
![]() Is there a cheap easy way to stop this. I have heard this slows me down is this true? I live in an apartment so there may be more. -------------------- JDM guy made me do it.

How is he stealing it? Do you know how? If your using wireless, you can encrypt your signal so that he'd need a password to access it.

QUOTE(Supersprynt @ Jan 3, 2006 - 5:38 PM) How is he stealing it? Do you know how? If your using wireless, you can encrypt your signal so that he'd need a password to access it. The nieghbors close friend asked me if I have wireless dsl and I said no. Because I'm hard wired through the phone line with filters and such. My modem has an antenna and a led marked wireless that flashes so I said maybe I do and my connection seemed slower than ever. How can I encrypt the signal? I'm using a Westell Versa link model 327W? Any info would be helpful. Thanks -------------------- JDM guy made me do it.
