I recently learned that a nieghbor has been using my dsl to acess the web. kindasad.gif
Is there a cheap easy way to stop this. I have heard this slows me down is this
true? I live in an apartment so there may be more.

How is he stealing it? Do you know how? If your using wireless, you can encrypt your signal so that he'd need a password to access it.

The nieghbors close friend asked me if I have wireless dsl and I said no. Because I'm hard
wired through the phone line with filters and such. My modem has an antenna and a led
marked wireless that flashes so I said maybe I do and my connection seemed slower than
ever.
How can I encrypt the signal? I'm using a Westell Versa link model 327W? Any info would be helpful.
Thanks

Ok, quick googling shows that indeed this is an all-in-one model:

Now, I think maybe if you navigate to http://192.168.1.1/ , you should be able to get to and change this. Check the manual that came with your Router/Modem, about particulars and default settings. You probably can even google it.

don't know if that helps.
