It's beautiful out today, so I go out to finish up cleaning up the hatch from the spoiler delete and decided to start pulling the pinstriping.

I've only done the quarter panels so far, and the drivers side went fine. Passenger side though.........not so good. I got all of the pinstripe off, but the problem lies with what's left. A very noticable PAINT RIDGE!!!!! Yes, my clean carfax car has had paint work to the passenger quarter panel. Furthermore, where the paint is (looks to be the entire lower portion of the quarter panel) is a gnats a** darker than the factory paint above!!!! It's barely noticable, someone without as critical as an eye as me might not even notice, but I do, and hate it.

So.......Need to take care of that paint line. What are my odds of using a stepped process of 1200 then 2000 grit sandpaper to wet-sand and then polish the area, or should I just leave that to a professional??

I'll see if I can't get a pic or two to come out.

thats kind of what happened to me. The previous owner had some sort of fender bender and crushed the front bumper, so he got a new one in black gelcoat and had them spray clearcoat on it. Looks black when there isn't sun directly on it, but when there is.. You can tell it is almost a brown color.
