Looks like the build is progressing well. However, one of two little things concern me. You say you are after 500whp - just wondering if you are really expecting that amount. I honestly would be surprised if your engine will last with that sort of power thrown at it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to put your efforts down, just that I know what it's like to put a lot of time, effort and $ into an engine rebuild. For starters, 9.0:1 CR, even with a thicker HG is potentially asking for major problems at higher boost levels. Water / methanol injection would certainly help stave off any potential detonation, but given the boost level which would be required to see 500whp, I doubt that it would cope. Also, with such a large turbo, it would be extremely laggy on the road - unless I've missed the point and it's going to be a drag car ![]() 272 deg cams are pretty wild. Good luck with getting it to idle ![]() Also, are you fitting an oil cooler? The stock item will not cope with 500whp full stop - especially in a climate like yours. I'm looking at around 320whp and even for that I'm going to be fitting one. AS for rad, as uzthedentist says, the Pace unit is nowhere near as good as the Koyo one. And Koyo is cheaper. Good luck with the build, but remember that even a custom built motor has its limits and you really need to think carefully about what you are doing if you want it to last ![]() Cheers Gary -------------------- ![]() 1994 ST205 Celica GT-FOUR Group A WRC - running in new engine 1993 Rover 220 GTi tarmac rally car (under construction) 3SGE power here we come....
