do rusted calipers affect braking? or is it just surface rust and cosmetic? so if i just sand the rust off and paint over it, would the rust come back just like how rust comes back on body panels?

also... uh... if you paint rotors to prevent rust... whch parts of the rotor should you paint? the whole thing? only the front? back and front? just the middle part that sticks up?

for your rotors, you can paint the middle part, dont get any paint on the surface of the rotor. rusted calipers wont be affected unless your brakes are doing something weird. use a high temp paint or caliper paint.

If you get paint on the surface, it just rubs off when you break. Makes the car brake bad for awhile and sound nasty. Also, get's stuff on your brake pads, but it goes away after a while.
