I asked this question on celica.net but I figure I'll ask here too:
For those of you who put the hood and bumper on yourself, how did you take care of the gap between the urethane bumper and the metal it's supposed to bolt onto under the hood? The stock bumper rests nicely on that metal piece where you pop the bolts into, but the gt-four bumper is raised in the middle.. at least half an inch. So.. how did you overcome that? Any other information on the conversion would be nice to.. like how you took care of the hood latching problem. I'll probably end up doing some cutting and welding, unless there is an easier way to go about it. Any info would be greatly appreciated. |

Maybe I'm just slow.. but I'm having trouble understanding how you did this. Try that explanation one more time and please be as descriptive as possible.
I'm not understanding how the urethane bumper can be both bolted down to the metal but also not leave a gap between the bumper and the hood. What exactly is stretching? Bear with me here And again, I really appreciate this. This post has been edited by erc: Jun 8, 2003 - 12:13 AM |
