do rusted calipers affect braking? or is it just surface rust and cosmetic? so if i just sand the rust off and paint over it, would the rust come back just like how rust comes back on body panels?

also... uh... if you paint rotors to prevent rust... whch parts of the rotor should you paint? the whole thing? only the front? back and front? just the middle part that sticks up?

Make sure you prep hubs and backs of calipers before painting. Also, don't use a caliper paint because the rust will just come back through no matter how well you prep it. I did mine in Silver last fall and the rust just came back. This summer I bought special paint that has a rust inhibiter in it and it has worked well so far.

Tape off your rotors. Painting them would be stupid.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.
