I was reading about how air/fuel ratio gauges are bull.
my cars a daily driver. and I'm not going to be pushing it too hard but once in a while i will . so do think a Autometer type gauge will do? will having its own sensor help? I don't think i will need wideband. give me your opinion |

EGT gauges read the exhaust gas temperature. If you look at mannys turbo manifold, you can see where he had it tapped for the temp sensor right on top.
Having an EGT gauge will help you determine if your engine is running too hot, give you an idea as to whether its cooled down properly before shut-down, and so on. Useful I'm sure to see if your running close to a pemature detonation also when you crank your boost up. -------------------- 3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting. |
