Finally got round to fitting the Apexi filter I bought a couple of months ago. Found the intake pipe on a local auction site, bolted it all together and here it is...

'Flutter' sound from the BOV is pretty cool. Much better than the usual ricer 'ptssshhh' noise you hear rolleyes.gif

When time permits I will be making up some form of enclosed airbox to keep the heat out. Fortunate enough to have a mate who can make things from carbon fibre laugh.gif

Also, as I'm looking at mega HP, keeping everything cool is vital to engine survival. A much larger Koyo aluminium rad has already been added and while the Gen III 3S-GTE motor does have an oil cooler as standard, it isn't good enough to 'cut the mustard' at the levels I'm aiming for.
So, went out and bought the parts needed today. Raided my spares box for the oil cooler itself and an 80 deg C thermostat control unit.....

Need to work out a bracket arrangement for the thermostat and the cooler core before I put it all together. Will wait until I get a larger custom WAI pre-rad (heat exchanger) made up first so I can put some bracket mounting points on that.

Finally, hit 1000kms yesterday so the new engine has had its first oil change today. Filled up with 10 50 Valvoline oil and 'only' have another 5,000kms to go before I can start upping the tempo biggrin.gif
