I hooked up my 1600 watt max amplifier to my 2 800 watt max Kicker subwoofers. After turning it up and letting it pound for about 10 minutes, a burning smell came from the subwoofers. I looked this problem up on the internet and it said that it could be burning off some of the glue from the factory or some dust on the subs. I know I did drill a hole in the box with the subs in it and there may still be some saw dust in it. Could that be it? I have no idea. Please Help!! THANKS ALOT

the crossover must be on low pass and set the crossover at 80 and turn the bass boost off for now. if they keep smelling then sooner than later they will die.
