intake piping size Options

alright i am gonna ask a random question right now, but bear with the fact that i don't own a celica, my friend does and she wants to get a bypass valve for the CAI. the only thing is i don't know what size piping the intake piping is to get the bypass valve. So my question is what is the size of the piping for the 1.8L engine in the 97 celicas?

anyway, if you have a stock intake there is NO need for a bypass valve (coming from someone who has one)

dude you would have to be a complete idiot to think you need a bypass valve for a stock intake system. but thanks for trying. i didn't know that they made different size piping for your guys aftermarket intakes. with my car there is only one size, unless somebody makes it bigger themselves, which is usually pointless.

Please be careful with what you and and whom you call and idiot. That's doesn't sit well around here. This is the internet, and I know sometimes things are taken differently than they are met. Also, it might help to know more info on what you're wanting. Having a CAI on a Tiburon doesn't make you knowledgeable by the way. I'm not saying that to be mean, I'm just saying it as a precaution. The more I seem to learn about cars, the more I realise I didn't know. There's some real experts on here that will humble you real quick like that.
