Need your help. I am considering purchasing Jspec3sge's (Ryan's) mint condition stock red engine hood from his 1994 ST (7AFE). From the pics, you can see it has no lining under the hood (just bare metal). Is this standard on STs? Both my GTs have thick lining under the hood. Doesn't this help keep the metal hood insulated/cooler after running the engine? I think it would be hard to "transplant" the lining from one hood to the other. Thanks.

QUOTE(CelicaZR @ Feb 1, 2006 - 4:17 PM) I thought the lining was to prevent the bonnet from getting ruined by the heat cause by the engine. That's very possable. My hood was fine at 11 years old. I removed the lining to fit my strut brace in. I just pulled the tabs, so they will come out. I might put it back in, but it's a little wieght I can save and not have too much of an impact. Hood should last at least 5 years without it. -------------------- Live Free, Be Happy
