whats up everyone! im going to be painting the celi soon (finally) the paint on the roof and hood are starting to chip away and its embarassing and getting on my last nerve, so i decided to have the top half of the car painted black (along the celica's sexy @$$ contours) and the remainder an emerald green of sorts...its hard for me to describe i think some of the 04 mustangs come in the color i like. i saw someone photoshoping pics of their car in several color options, can someone show me what a celi would look like in the paint scheme i just described and opinions? (please no flaming)

QUOTE(purplegt4 @ Feb 14, 2006 - 9:01 PM) well do that and paint your rims orange. we got a funny guy ^ lol... QUOTE(celicaGT96 @ Feb 15, 2006 - 1:07 AM) I almost wanted to do this, but it wont look to good because our celicas dont have the right lines for a 2- tone job. You would have to make a line to seperate the top and bottom, and wouldnt look very good unless you have an eclipse or a camaro which already have the seperation of top and bottom. thats what i thought at first! where to have the colors separated. then i looked at where the pinstripes are (originally came with the car) and i noticed that they go along with the lines of the car (if you notice how our cars bulge out right under the side windows, i would use that line and just follow it around the car. i know somebody has this paint scheme and it looked pretty decent, just cant remember who...it was black and silver if i remember right. QUOTE(JFrost9 @ Feb 15, 2006 - 12:51 AM) Ive been wanting to do this too.. But i want to go Black on top, and then a dark or light silver on the bottom. If i was to go with the light silver i would probably go gunmetal or black rims.... I had a guy draw up a pic and did some coloring.. and i really liked the way it looked.. The only thing im tryin to figure out is whether or not i should include the hatch as black... The guy also said he could put in a white thin stripe along the side to compliment the bullet fenders and the curves... kinda like some of the stock ones have, but thicker, and having a black outline. does this sound decent at all? I love the grey/black colors. sounds good to me! its original, not many people go with that paint scheme. and i would go ahead and paint the hatch black too.
