QUOTE I was uping the boost and around 9psi i was blowing off couplers every time i would full throttle it! I was not using t clamps at that time but i just got sick of being under the car on the side of highways! Not Safe... haha. dg crappy clamps will do it every time...lol just for refrence, hyde runs 22+ psi with silicone couplers, and constant tension clamps. no problems. ive hit 15psi @ the track, and run 10+psi daily, and have NEVER had a hose pop off. its all about using the proper clamps and couplers, and getting them good and tight. Direct quote from Jeff Fazio on the mr2 board
"I did not have the time or resources to put a full, good bead on the pipes. I merely had about 1/2" lines put on 4 spots on each of them. It seems to be holding up perfectly. This system is so tightly put together, there is not much room for anything to move" So he does have lips welded on the piping but not complete all the way around DG This post has been edited by DG_Performance: Feb 16, 2006 - 9:36 AM -------------------- |
