 Full tank of Gas? How much weight does it add, ...or does it make a difference? |

How much weight does a full tank of gas add to our Celicas? Does it slow them down at all, or does it even weigh enough to matter?
I looked online & found a bunch of different answers for how much a gallon of gas weighs...some say 6.5lbs some say 8lbs. So I have no idea if a full tank adds 78lbs or 96lbs to our car. Someone help  Maybe ill start driving around w/ only 2 - 3 gallons @ a time haha....(unless im on a road trip of course)Oh & if this is a repost..then oops --------------------  |

i think TheRockman got it right.
So, let's round off the celica's tank to 16gal. even. It's filled to the brim. At 72 degrees fahrenheit, the fuel in that tank will weigh exactly 100lbs. And like he said, the weight will vary with the temperature. --------------------  |
