question for you guys. i've got a 94 celica gt, auto, w/o ABS. driving aroung the city, there are no noises except for an occasional knock from the drivers side. i did pull the driver's side wheel off and clamp holding the CV boot on was loose, so i tightened it using the Toyota clamp tool. granted i know i had lost a lot of grease already, so i don't drive it much, i drive my b/f's car.
my question is, could this vibration, which is speed sensitive be the driver's side CV? we are going to head out to the pick-n-pull today to grab some 5th gen mirrors, a new intake boot, and a driver's side axle as i did have to drive 1500 miles from boston to West Palm Beach with this problem. so it is probably pretty screwed up right now. i've read the best way to get the axle out is to pull like a mofo, a pry-bar, tire-iron, etc. and i already have a DIY for putting it back in. but any other tips would be appreciated. also, are there any axles from other models that wold fit the same? like a camry, corolla, MR2? thanks in advance. -------------------- 94 Black Celica GT, Auto, 5th gen mirrors that's all...

if ur wheels vibrating, ur in allaignment, ur ballanced n every thing..replace ur PS belt. My car used 2 vibrate like mad at about 100KM/H..or 62MPH. Like if i was driving for more than an hour at that speed my arm would fall asleep from the vibration..lol. But yea after i got my cylinderhead fixed, my mechanic noticed my PS belt was cracked and about 2 break, he changed it..every thing is fine now.
