I got a speeding ticket on the freeway on the express lanes going 79 in a 60 clocked w/ laser. That's a bit faster than what I was going and I'm tired of officers throwing my money away for something I didn't do. I've been doing a lot of reading up on how to beat a ticket. Feb. 3rd I got the ticket, postponed my first hearing from the 15th to the 22nd. Went to court yesterday and plead not guilty. The judge explained to the court that I had a perfect driving record and that I am able to plead no contest to some charge(I'll find out what she called it) and in turn my record will only show a miscillaneous offense and 0 pts. I'll have to find out the fee for this. I meet with the county prosecutor in 3 weeks to discuss my options. I'll keep everyone posted.

QUOTE Also, the cop is going to be there no matter how long its delayed because he is REQUIRED to do so by his job, he gets paid for it, and will be notified by the prosecutor. Cops dont HAVE to be there, if they fail to show up they drop the ticket, and out of all the people I know who have gotten tickets and take it to court, maybe once out of about 10 times do the cops show up. My cousin(retired CHiP) says that they don't get paid for all court issues, depending on if they are working that day/ at the time. A lot of cops just feel it is a waist of time, and so they just don't go. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money
