QUOTE(CelicaZR @ Feb 25, 2006 - 10:09 AM) I'm going with Alpine for my setup. Type X splits and subs type x, better get some cash, but i do like the fact that they are a carbon fiber cone QUOTE(tim86 @ Feb 25, 2006 - 3:06 PM) QUOTE(creis @ Feb 25, 2006 - 3:52 AM) (The alpine tipe R subs are not very good dont take strong power, same with the type r mids kinda weak and dont handel the best) I would actually recommend alpine type r's... they handle TONS of power and sound very clean imo... affordable too, because i also believe JL is way overpriced. You get what you pay for though, so dont be fooled by knockoff/cheaper brands like lightning audio i agree with you 100% my friend has 2 12" type r and type r components in his 240, its pretty cool since they are all mounted with the cone part facing down on the subs and towards the door on his components when you look at it from the back with the hatch open you see the subs flipped out and matchin components flipped out in his custom fiberglass interior, thats why i hate show cars i am so jealous |
