my last car was a 92 tsi with full 3'' exhaust and a underdrive pulley. but when i was driving it home one day the oil filter came loose and it blew up. now my question is does anybody know if swapping out the motor in my 94 gt would be faster than just rebuilding my eagle.

I'm glad some people agree with me....I figured alot of people would tell me to shut up since the swap owns all around here.
![]() Seriously though, i think alot of the DSM reliability gets a worse wrap than is neccesary. I have a shop called DSM Motorsports in my town here in New Jersey, and they do some sick stuff with the 4G63. I've seen alot of their cars and they run an EVO VIII as their shop car and have a 9 second Talon that I've heard alot of stories about. Definately a great and forgiving motor. I know a few guys with DSM's and they all say they love them. Never heard of any major problems from any of them except some loose and cracking vacuum lines on a 1g GSX and of course the common ECU defect. Definately rebuild the Talon, its a good inexpensive platform. -------------------- 3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting. |
