First I hope this is the correct category to post this.
General Info…. Just getting into the 6 generation Celica’s, I now have two. One is a 95 ST for a few months and over the weekend I bought a complete 94 hatchback GT Celica 5-speed that needs some motor work and a complete JDM 3sgte with all-wheel drive tranny with 32k on it. I have a tone of parts for the 3sgte that the guy gave me, wiring harness, ECU, Spare turbo, Factory service manual all the air intake for the motor and Alternator plus two or three boxes full of parts. I have some general questions that I am thinking about before I get into all this. 1. How much is the complete 2.2 that need work with a 5 speed tranny worth? ( I am not total sure what is wrong with it but wanted to know a decent price because I am wanting to sell it as a whole) 2. How much is an all wheel drive tranny worth in good shape? Is there any demand for these? 3. What year of the 5 speed v-6 Camry tranny should I be looking for? How much is a good price? 4. What all should I do to the 3sgte before I install it in the car? Thank you in advance, I have been looking through this site for a while and it all looks awesome lots of great info. I am now looking to get started and wanted to get to know some people on here incase I get in trouble along the way. I have searched but I would like to know more about why the tranny from the Camry is so much better? What clutch should I get? Stuff like that. I am located in Knoxville, TN if anyone is close maybe we can get together. Thanks again, Chris -------------------- |

Well last night I got the all wheel drive tranny off and most of the wiring harness off of the 3sgte. I also began taking the 2.2 out of the car. The wiring is going to be nuts, I never really paid attention to all the wiring details on these cars before. Oh well got to learn sometime!!
