Hey guys, I just ordered my invader kit thursday wit the z3 fenders from Visracing.com. I was wondering If it would be that hard to put on without taking it to a shop. I was originally going to take it to a friend of my brothers friend, who has a shop but we asked what the price would be and he said I would have to see it. I remember reading on the forums that u should think twice when some1 tells u they would have to see it. So do u think I should fit it on by myself and take it to the shop to get painted or just give it to the shop and hope for the best? thanks

Yeah ive put my sideskirts on the cheap ones, and it took 2-3 weeks.
I was quoted $400 per skirt. So i thought bugger that ill DIY. It depends on what finish you want i didnt want it permenatly on so i screwed them in, in the door wells. It looks mint but the doors dont open as smooth as they use to, if you put them on permanty you can glue them on and it will no interfer with the door. Remember to price up if your DIY. you will need 1 can of paint $20 1 can of laquair $10 1-2 cans of primer $20 (undercoat) sandpaper $5 Bodyfiller $10 Resin kit $20 Revits or nuts $5 Doublesided tape $10 tools, drill, sander, hacksaw, marker or chalk for drawing where to cut. think thats it, pm me for more info, if you lived in Uk id do it for you lol. The front and back should be a lot easier then the sides. -------------------- |
