As some of you know, the decision was made to part ways with our (me and my wife) 99 GT about 3-4 weeks ago in lieu of me keeping our Lincoln LS and my wife getting a brand new VW Passat. After much mulling it over, and talking about finances (me expressing a distaste for a 35K car and $550 a month payment) I mention to my wife "You know, we could just keep the Celi and do the motor swap" to which she replied that she's already considered that.
Background: The Lincoln LS was hers and the Celi was mine, but she disowned the LS after some maintenance issues and commandeered the celica, so it's her driver now. So she comes to me last night and says "I've made my decision. We're keeping the Celica." And I just got off the phone with Dr. Tweak. If all goes well we're dropping the car off at his new shop in Mid-Late April when he's ready to do work at the new shop. The car is in the paint shop right now getting that screwed up repaint on the passenger 1/4 panel redone (originally with intent to sell). We both can't wait to get it done. Amazingly, my wife who was anti-japanese cars has fallen in love with driving the celi. She, as I, just has an unknown fondness for the car. We're both very pleased to be keeping it and hopefully we'll be a part of the "swap club" here shortly! -------------------- |

(I gave her the stink eye after that) you know my girlfriend has said the same thing (we've been togeather for 6 years... planning on getting married)... but then she suggested the idea of different combos of either a G35, EVO, STi, 350Z, M3, and/or S2000 sooo.... I agreed it would be better to have a combo of 2 of those than to have 2 of the same ![]() ![]() I love a girl who can be as impractical as i am about cars ![]() -------------------- ![]() Believer, you'll leave her, in leaving them all No but I don't buy it Like anything you do, as anyone you are Cause I'm...
