Some of you may know that I'm in the process of developing a buyer/seller reputation system. As I was thinking about implementation of it today, it occurred to me that a rule for the Buying/Selling forum needed to be changed.
NEW RULE Once your transaction(or all transactions, in the case of multiple items for sale, group buys, part-outs, etc.) is complete, you must edit the topic description(the box under the title) to say "COMPLETED". It's EXTREMELY important that the topic title and the post are left unchanged! Management will lock the topic, and it will remain visible and intact for use with the buyer/seller reputation system. This is very important because the reputation system will require a valid buying/selling url when leaving feedback. So from now on, please follow this rule when using the Buying/Selling forum. If people don't follow this rule, the reputation system will not work and will not be implemented. Because it would be extra clutter if a thread had to be started The reputation system is designed to work with buying/selling threads for a very good reason. Without reference to a thread, people could(and would) spam other people with feedback even if there was no transaction. The thread is to the buyer/seller reputation system what a receipt is to a store in a sense. It's necessary to keep track of transactions.
