I recently bought a 94 GT4, not sure what model it is, dont think its a standard bodykit anyway. The model number is ST205 0002885. If anyone can shed any light on what this refers to, it would be much appreciated.

The WRC spec cars differ only slightly to the standard GT-Fours. Due to homologation rules for manufacturers running in the WRC back in those day, they had to produce at least 2500 road going versions. The road going WRC has no more power than the standard car. Only power differences are between the JDM and rest of the world markets. The JDM had a different specced ECU which ran more aggressive timing due to the higher quality fuel in Japan. This gave it an extra 20bhp IIRC.
WRC car had cold start water injection, pre-rad water spray nozzlesand antilag. All these features were not activated on teh road going versions. They also came with a CT20B turbo. This turbo is not 'very powerful', it only differs from the standard GT-Four because it has a steel compressor wheel as opposed to a ceramic one. It doesn't produce more power, it just allows more boost to be run without the wheel breaking up. Spoiler blocks were also fitted to the WRC cars to raise the height of the rear wing which produced 50kg of downforce at 100km/h. A spoiler was also present on the rear edge of the bonnet which prevented the bonnet from buckling at speeds approaching 250km/h. The 2500 cars were produced within the first 5000 cars produced so a WRC spec car, could in theory, have a chassis number of 0005000.
