Anyone have red-painted needles day and night pics?

So I wish to find red LED's with sufficient illumination and diffusion effect to light gauges uniformly... (oh and of course be able to buy them in CZ... p.s.: availability in all common japanese or american supermarkets is not interesting for me   )
