Right now I've got Toyo Proxes Fz4's (225/50/15)

Now I've got stock rims on my 94' celica gt.

Im looking to get some new tires but everywhere I go they tell me I should be using 205/something.

What size do you suggest I put on? I don't serious street race or anything. I just want an all around good tire size. Thanks for your time.

If the stock rims are 15x6.5 or 15x7(not sure, I never had stock, just some AR 15x7) then 205/50/15 should work fine. I'd stick with 205-215 if possible. Anything smaller and you don't have much tread on the ground, and anything bigger(well, bigger than 215) and you risk rubbing them when you take sharp turns.
15x7 can accept up to about 225, they'll just stick out a bit further. I used to run 225/75/14 on my 85 Celica with no problems(stock 'supra' rims, 14x6.5).

Just remember that in 205/50/15, 205=width in mm, 50=height in % of width, 15=inner tire/rim diameter.
