so we finally go the head off. the head gasket looks alright.... not good at alll. but no real noticable sign of failure. hope the new gasket makes a big difference.

with the MLS headgaskets
isn't it nearly manditor that you have the the block decked and make sure the surfaces are dead flat otherwise seal is no good?

btw cometic is teh SH!T i use them on my race bike smile.gif

you NEED to check flatness on the head and block after blowing a head gasket. if you dont theres a good chance you'll be doing another one sooner than you want to.

i doubt it will need to be decked. my dad is gunna check and see once everything is cleaned up if the plane is level or not. also the gasket is supposed to seal minor imperfections so cometic says.

post a good pic of the head chambers and the piston tops please smile.gif
