Hi guys I friend of mine installed a start button on his mx-5 and he told me he would install one on my car for free my question is will this harm my car is it reliable?

yea I did this a while back to my ST...easy install
Ignited makes them (illuminated and non-illuminated), there are 4 wires to connect. 1 - to all time power 2 - to ground 3 - to ignition/starter wire (black/white comming from your ignition) 4 - ACC power you can either cut the black/white wire and make the button the only way to start the car, or splice into the wire and have either work.
