Well today I sold my MbQuart Discus and put in my Alpine Type-S until I get my MbQuart Premiums.
Before I switched the speakers I ran a Sound Quality testing CD called "Focal". So here we go.

Alpine Typs-S
• 1" Silk Soft Dome Tweeter
• Power Handling Capacity (RMS): 50W
• Power Handling Capacity (Peak): 250W
• Frequency Response: 35Hz - 30kHz
• Impedance (Nominal): 4 Ohm
• Sensitivity: 92 dB/W/m
MSRP: $100 (u can easily get these speakers for $60)

Even though frequency response of Type-S is from 35HZ compare to Discus which is from 40HZ, in all of the tracks Discus had better sounding highs and reproduced high's that I didn't even hear with Type-S. (it felt really weird because I lisened to this CD a lot and remember how it suposse to sound, but Type-S didn't reproduce most of the sounds and it made the music sound really empty). Type-S mid's are terrible, most of the low frequency like bass guitar sounded like crap, it just didn't feel real. On the other hand Discus has some amazing mids. So the conclusion is that MbQuart Discus is a way better speaker then Type-S.

Both speakers were tested in the same car with the same system.
