rice is a phase nobody ever has to go through.
i'm convinced that people ride around with big wings, unpainted body kits, or horrible paint jobs / whatever because *nobody* has the balls to tell them it looks bad. i've even seen some 6th gens on this site that I would probably take a crowbar to in real life, just to save the car the humiliation of having to drive around like that. less is more, and some people forget that. there isnt any point in dumping $5000 in to a paint job / body kit if your car still has a 5s/7a in it. i'd rather have my car look slow and be slow, than look fast and be slow. You just dumped $4000 into a swap, and can pass most things on the road, but once they turn off on the next block, does it really matter if you won or not? To me body kits make more sense, ya speed is fun, but having a nice looking car will get you more attention. -------------------- To live, is to suffer

What's the sense in making something look fast if it can't even pull a 16 second quarter mile? Speed & looks are one in the same, they both garner attention. I think people with 6th gens should realize that the cars biggest shortcoming isn't how it looks, it's how fast it doesn't go. That's why i think people should focus on engine / performance first, and exterior last, in my opinion. I could sleep good at night knowing my car was completely stock on the outside, but had a 3sgte power plant under the hood. I've seen enough 6th gens with body kits, but seeing one or owning a 6th gen with a good motor in it is somewhat of a rarity. This post has been edited by sinner96ST: May 5, 2006 - 11:02 PM |
