Hey everyone, I don't know where this would go since I do not have a celica anymore, but my MPV died tonight in the parking lot. When I turn the key to crank the engine over... there is only a click and nothing else. I still have electrical power as my headlights and interior lighting work, but the car does not turn over at all or even attempt to. The only noise is a one single click and some really low pitch squeeling noise that kinda sounds like sloshing buzz. I'm thinking its the distributor or alternator? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

loose battery cable or a corroded connection/cable is the likely culprit.

this was my problem a few wks ago -- had to clean up the battery terminal - after that it was fine
