Does the 3SGTE engine pulll G forces... I read somewher sometime that only 3 toyota engines pull over 1G stock..and i was wondering if the 3s was one of them.

by Gs he probably means "greater than the gravitational acceleration" which is 9.80665 m/s².
so if 1 mile = 1.609 kms, then ¼ mile = 402.25 meters. and if d=ut+½at² then 402.25m=½(9.8m/s²)t² 402.25/½(9.8)=t² t²=82.09s t=9.06s therefore, the engine must be fast enough to pull a car to run at or under 9.06s in a quarter mile run. (of course, the mass of the car would greatly impact the amount of Nm or hp of the engine, thus heavier car = more hp) i luv translational physics now, i wonder which toyotas run under 9.06s stock?? -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

3rd Gen 3S-GTE has oil squirters in the block walls, one assumes to help prevent oil starvation....

QUOTE(Mr_E @ May 8, 2006 - 6:16 AM) 3rd Gen 3S-GTE has oil squirters in the block walls, one assumes to help prevent oil starvation.... obtaining g forces in a turn can be done with a ford festiva. A straight line is another story. -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |
