I have a 1996 st and I was thinking of doing a 3sgte swap. I found a brand new engine at toysport.com that costs $4500. Lets say I pay that for the engine alone, for anybody who knows, how much more would you say it would cost for additional parts. I am guessing that it will be around $8000 in total, but I would like to know from people who have completed the swap how much they paied. I don't want to get a clip or a used engine because I am afraid that it will have high milage and it won't last very long. I am planning on keeping my car for a very long time and I would like the engine to last for that amount of time.

Where in CT are you?
For 4500 you can get the entire swap done with an ST205 engine. If you know your way around a car and understand electrical work you can do the swap w/o an clip. -------------------- |
