hey im getting some kyb's and either some tein s-tech springs or eibach sportlines. i saw on tirerack.com that it said an allignment kit was strogly recommended. do i really need one?

You only need 2 bolts, for the rear. The front camber is negligeable.


You are missinformed. The Front are Just as or more important.

Get front and rear. You should be fine withy the 1 degree, which is a top bolt only for each corner. If you get anything lower than 1.5" get 2 degree, which should be a top and bottom bolt.

I speak from experience, my 90 celica didn't need any front camber adjustmen after the lowering. The rear was "so bad" you could see it with the naked eye. My front tire wear was normal after. I'd never think a 6th gen is that different.
