I've heard both sides where people say getting water in the intercooler can hurt the motor. others say it helps cooling. I personally think it wont harm anything. can someone clear this up? thanks

water INSIDE the intercooler harms the car. The water will start corrode the insides of the intercooler. And if too much water is sucked up into the motor, this can cause hydro-lock. Some motors have water injection kits that spray water into the motor on purpose. But these kits are tuned carefully not just the run of the mill bodge job.
i think your confusing spraying water on the outside of the intercooler with getting water in. |
