QUOTE(j0e_p3t @ May 21, 2006 - 2:12 PM) QUOTE they did not have the means to build that boat and have it actually float back in that time just like how they didn't have the means to build pyramids and the great wall of china? i'm not saying noah's ark is true. but its not ridiculously hard to believe either. religion is all about having faith in what you believe in. and if there is no god in heaven, then why do so many of us in this forum ask for prayers when people they care about are sick or dying or even dead? Heres your first mistake, YOU decided to compare a gigantic boat to creating inanimate buildings. I did not do that, I dont know why your making comparisons between things that you can go see and touch to something that doesnt exist. Your argument is absolutely pointless to make. Do I even have to get into the fact that animals need to eat and go to the bathroom? The disease, malnutrition and plain old stentch of that boat isnt even given a thought. What logic lies behind faith? And your 100% correct, religion is based on faith. Not evidence. If people of faith want to argue in the realm of science, then argue with evidence. Finally - you cannot prove the existence of god by saying people ask for prayers. What kind of argument is that? The 4 or 5 threads that exist with people asking for support means exactly what in the real world of facts & evidence? It means nothing and this type of argument is not true or valid. If people want to debate this I'm fine with it, however learn to do so in a manner which actually holds up. You cannot argue a point with "well these ppl believe, so it must be true." You cannot argue "its not disproven so it must be true." But your right, this will go no where. This post has been edited by Supersprynt: May 21, 2006 - 2:09 PM -------------------- |
