I just purchased some st202 OEM fogs for my 94 bumper (the JDM ones), and I’m wondering what color H3 bulbs I should put in. This poll should be directly related to my situation--is this--not a whole lot of fog, but a ton of deer, and basically just want more light. I like the "Yellow JDM hotness" factor, but don't know if they'll put out as much light as a xenon white/blue bulb.
Also, what bulbs have you found to put out the most light? >>> maker/color? ---> and I know this will come up, so here is a link debating the whole "yellow works better in fog" theory: http://www.autoanything.com/lights/51A22.aspx here is a pic of the fogs just for kicks : btw, my headlights are 8500k xenon white/blue Let me know what you guys think! ~snapshotgt This post has been edited by snapshotgt: Jun 7, 2006 - 10:31 PM -------------------- Past: V6 Swapped 6G Celica, E46 BMW M3, Jeep Wrangler TJ

ur not supposed to use ur fogs in normal clear weather tho...
i used to think yellow/amber was better for fog lights... but then a bunch of people started telling me it's more about how they're aimed/projected instead of the colour so now i'm not sure nemore =P but um... doesn't more light make the deer... um... tranced or wutever u call it? QUOTE(elvasoshexai @ May 23, 2006 - 10:07 PM) it's more about how they're aimed/projected instead of the colour Of course you have to align them correctly. Assuming correct alignment, amber color will allow more visibility. -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |

Assuming correct alignment, amber color will allow more visibility. sorry.. when i said aimed/projected... i meant like.. the optics of the foglights... i dunno if this is true.. but somebody had mentioned that in france/switzerland/sweden, it used to be law that foglights had to be yellow... because they helped vision in foggy weather... apparently, they later changed that law when they realized that in actuality, a higher temperature light was better... but on another note... if the more light is because of deer... aren't deer attracted/put in a daze because of the bright lights????
