I was trying to put my underdrive pulley on and I finally gave up cause I could not get the stock pulley off. After I put everything back together, I started her up and I heard this unnatural clicking/knocking noise coming from the drivebelts side of the engine. At first I thought it might have been the alternator belt cause it was frayed a bit on the side of it. So, I went to by friendly neighborhood Pep Boys to pick up a new belt. The funny thing about it is that I obviously asked for an alternator belt for a 97 Celica ST and they said that they didn't have it listed in their book. So then I asked for a belt for the 7AFE engine for the 91-98 corrolla. They had that,so I bought it. I put it in,started it up and the noise was still there. I finally broke down and took it to a shop and sure enough, it was the underdrive crank pulley that I needed. Apparantly I warped the stock one trying to get it off. But the whole possitive thing about this situation is that I'm getting my car fixed and when I get it back, hopefully it will be a little faster with the new underdrive pulley that they will put on for me.

Yeah, a little over 50 at Pep Boys. That's what I wanted them to do originally, but they broke the car instead. I would definately suggest the dealer doing the job. That's all they work on(Toyotas). There's a low possibility that they'll mess up. It works great too.
