I was at my engine supplier here, and the guy had a whole clip from a Celica GT-Four. He says it's the first one he's seen in five years and he wants $3800 canadian for it.

This includes EVERYTHING. Motor. ECU. Wireharness. Everything. Even the suspension up front.. and the four caliper brakes!

Think it's a deal or what? Lemme know.

I'm assuming that is the ST205 right? If so, wow!!! biggrin.gif

Great price, and since it has all the parts, you can either transfer them over to your car, or you can sell them to reduce the cost of the swap!!!

btw: Do you know how you could get that motor drive cleaned here in ontario? It has no EGR and not sure if it will cause issues witht the check.

Haha. Driveclean sucks! What you'd have to do is get a shady garage to enter your info into the computer and take the Driveclean test with a Camry or another Celica.. that's all. Almost identical test results. And that's that:)

As for the GT-Four! Swaps are evil. Man, if I could I'd just buy one from the UK. They sell for about $14,000 Canadian.. and shipping would be no more than $1200 (not even). I hate this whole swap non-sense, but Transport Canada has been taking their sweet time to get back to me on if the car would be legal here. The next step would be finding an insurer. I'm sure it wouldn't be too crazy... but.. you know..

Even if I buy that motor.. I'm looking at $4400 for the motor after taxes. A couple grrr for the install. And then I'd still be FWD, stock rear braking system.. blah blah blah.. I'd need the GT-Four body kit, and paint. SO importing is way better:)
