No I do not believe that I do, at the moment I have some 225 tires crammed on 6" wide rims.
But they would be 7.5" Dan |

QUOTE(DanKimber @ Jun 7, 2006 - 9:34 PM) No I do not believe that I do Are you trying to say that rim width doesn't matter when trying to fit a wider tire? That proposition is ignorant. Rim width is THE controlling variable about what size wheels you can "fit" on the car - not tire size (of course both matter but rim width is MUCH more important). Tires expand to fill out the rim. Beyond that, fitting a rim without rollinig fenders or interfering with suspension components is a product of rim width and offset. Now for my second point. Let me get this straight: You have a question. People with more experience try to help and then you come up with a statement like that? Am I missing something here or is that a little insulting? -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |
