So my clear turns came in the mail yesterday so I thought I would get them on right away, so I had to switch my bumper. After a few hours (mostly because all the bolts were rusted on) I was finally able to switch the bumpers with the help of a friend of course. Here's what it looks like now...
The only problem I had was that 1 of the 3 bolts on the drive side broke. It was the plate with the bolts on it that connects to the fender .. there is a small gap that is somewhat noticeable. It was the bottom bolt that broke (would that deter the strength of the bumper?) .. should I replace it .. if you guys think i should, does anyone have the part number for it? I agree, it is a good mod. It gives a more updated look to the car.
if you want to get technical, you can replace the piece that is broken (from the rusted bolt). you would just have to take the bumper off again and get one of these. part # 52116-20220 (LH) <-- the side you need 52115-20320 (RH) about $10 from a Toyota dealer or just leave it as is, it really isn't noticable unless you are looking for it. -------------------- |
