Options... Raceway Park, Englishtown: Drag strip Palisades Interstate Park: You can get to it from the Palisades Parkway, Rt 9W, River Road. It goes along the Hudson River and theres plenty of picnic areas and parking lots. The road goes right under the George Washington Bridge at one point and would be a great place for pictures. I'm game for that, one problem. During the summer most hotels require a two day stay minimum. This means you cant book a room unless you plan on staying atleast two nights. This would work out for most of us, but could be a problem for people that can only stay one night.
Sandy Hook is a nice area, they have a huge park right on the beach. I was also at point pleasant a few weeks ago, very nice town to cruise in. Sunday night traffic would be a PITA though
