I have a 96 ST with 115000 miles on it. It has no problems with it whatsoever except it is using up oil way faster than in should. I have been keeping a real close eye on the level to make sure it doesn't get too low (adding more oil when neccesary). I was wondering if anyone has come across this problem before or has any remedies. Also there is no sign of oil leaks on my garage floor. Any suggestions are welcome and thanks very much.

I have a 96 ST (145,000 miles) like you, that also burns oil. Burns about 1 quart every 2,000 miles. Keep on topping it off, the repair is going to be expensive. And remember this... every time you see your tach at 4000RPM or higher, your putting more unnecessary wear on your seals, and worsening the problem. I've been going easy on my car and keeping the oil topped off. I won't repair it until I see my MPG affected (still getting ~30mpg).
