After filling up with 93 octane at a gas station in the middle of nowhere, my engine ran great for like 10 mins than after that it started idling weird, died at idling speeds, and lagged. My troubleshoot was that I pumped in some very nasty and bad gas, that probbaly clogged up my fuel filter and sock.

With the rising gas prices these days, its best to stick to a brand name gas station that you can trust even if its slightly higer than the rest. At least in the end you don't have to regret that your car died on the road due to bad gas.

Best advice on gas in this forum in a LONG time. A couple months ago in Car and Driver they had a great article about gas quality and the huge effect it can have on both performance and longevity. An independent gas rating organization that analyzed gas from various stations gave their "seal of approval" to only only 7 or so stations in the U.S. that met the standards of the organization for puposes of octane, cleanliness, etc. I don't remember all of the stations because most of them are not local to me. I can tell you that Shell was on the list and I have only used V-Power since.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.
